Frequently asked questions

I appreciate that commissioning a memorial artwork is a deeply personal decision, and you may have many questions. Here, I address some of the most common queries about our process, the artwork, and how I handle your loved one's ashes with the utmost care and respect.

How do you do it?

My unique process integrates a small amount of cremation ashes into the paint medium, making them an integral part of the artwork's texture and surface. This ensures they are visible and tangible, fostering a deeply personal and enduring connection to your loved one.

Is it safe to post ashes?

I understand your concern. Yes, it is safe to post ashes if you follow specific guidelines. I will provide detailed instructions on securely packaging and sending the small amount needed. I recommend using a tracked and signed-for delivery service for your peace of mind. All ashes received are handled with the utmost care and reverence.

How long does the creation process take?

The creation of each bespoke artwork is a meticulous process. Typically, from the initial consultation to the final delivery, it takes approximately 4-8 weeks, depending on the complexity and current demand. I will provide a more precise timeline during your consultation.

What materials do you use for the artworks?

I use high-quality, acrylic paint, spray paints and varnishes to ensure the longevity and durability of your memorial piece. This includes professional-grade paints, canvases, and protective finishes, all designed to preserve the artwork and the embedded ashes for generations to come.

How much can I customise? What themes and styles can we do?

Customisation is at the heart of our service. Every piece is one-of-a-kind and created in close consultation with you. I focus on memorial landscapes, florals, and still life compositions, chosen for their calming, timeless, and reflective qualities. You can discuss specific colours, elements, and emotional tones to ensure the artwork truly reflects the memory and personality of your loved one.

Can I cancel my idea and commission after a deposit is paid?

We understand that circumstances can change. Once a deposit is paid, it secures your commission slot and covers initial design work and material procurement. If you decide to cancel, the deposit is generally non-refundable. However, we encourage open communication, and in exceptional circumstances, we are open to discussing alternative arrangements or credit towards a future commission.

What size artworks do you offer?

I offer a range of standard sizes suitable for various display spaces. I can also discuss custom dimensions to perfectly fit your home or specific requirements. Details on available sizes and pricing will be provided during your consultation. Starting from 30cmx30ccm up to 100cmx100cm canvases.
